Tremont Girl Scout Activities

Totem Pole Day

Saturday, September 30, 2000
Opening Ceremony to begin at 10:00 a.m.
Meet at Uhlman's Pumpkin Farm, rain or shine.
The morning will be spent inside the barn learning about Kickapoo Council, Kickapoo Indians, working on badges and crafts, enjoying Native American Music, and more.
In the afternoon, the Girl Scouts will be finding their way through a Cornfield "Maize" Maze.
Cost for the Girl Scouts will be paid for by the Tremont Area Girl Scout fund which is supported by the United Way.
Parents and siblings are encouraged to attend also.
The event is being organized by Tremont Cadette Troop #8.

Christmas Caroling

November 30, 2000 at 6:00 p.m.
Meet at Tremont Grade School for an evening of caroling to shut-ins.

Father/Daughter Bowling

January or February, 200l

Charm School and Mother/Daughter Tea

Charm School will be held in January or February and will be followed by a Mother/Daughter Tea in March or April so that the Girl Scouts can practice what they learned at Charm School.

Indian River Service Unit Activities

September Service Unit Meeting
When: Tuesday, September 26, 2000 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Hopedale Medical Complex cafeteria

Troop registrations need to be turned in at this meeting.
Fall Product Chairperson must be at the meeting.
Karen Tucker will be doing a workshop on "Ceremonies."
Troop #397 will be sharing a craft.
Troop #265 will be sharing a song or game.

October Service Unit Meeting
When: Tuesday, October 17, 2000 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Hopedale Medical Complex cafeteria

Fall Product orders need to be turned in at this meeting.

November Service Unit Meeting
When: Tuesday, November 21, 2000 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Hopedale Medical Complex cafeteria

Fall Product money and paperwork needs to be turned in at this meeting.

Girl Scout Cookie Sales

Cookie Sales provide a valuable learning experience for the Girl Scouts. The annual sale is very important to troop financing. Girl Scouts will be taking orders for cookies starting January 6, 2000. Cookies will sell for $2.50 per box. Please contact any Tremont leader or Girl Scout to order cookies.
